I have been working with Maestro Damian of the Shipibo-Conibo tradition for several years. I met him during a time of urgency, when I was very ill and in need of support. In the Amazon, there are many people who serve ayahuasca and present themselves as maestros, so I approached the situation with a great deal of skepticism and caution.

From the very first moment, I could sense his kindness and his profound knowledge of the plants. Over the years—through various treatments and *dietas*—I have always felt safe and supported in his work. His approach to working with plant medicine is gentle, yet profoundly transformative.

I hold a deep respect for his wisdom and his medicine. His *ícaros* are very powerful, and I often miss the jungle and the opportunity to sit in ceremony with him. Although I no longer feel a personal need to return for deep healing, I do continue to feel the support of the plants and strive to keep that connection alive. Even so, the ceremonial space and the sound of his *ícaros* will always be something that calls me back.

I recommend Maestro Damian to anyone seeking guidance and healing.
